Managerial appointment strengthens Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group

Werner Joubert has been appointed General Manager of Hytec Fluid Technology (HFT), with effect from 1 November 2022, while remaining General Manager of Hydraulic and Automation Warehouse (HAW). This promotion follows his 2021 appointment into a managerial position at Bosch Rexroth Botswana, bringing his management portfolio in the Group to three.
At HAW, Werner is tasked with ensuring that the company achieves its strategic and financial objectives, as well as managing new products to market at competitive pricing. As head of Bosch Rexroth Botswana, he plays a pivotal role in Bosch Rexroth’s Africa growth strategy of driving expansion into the continent by taking Bosch Rexroth products and solutions to market – in line with the Group’s vision to “Move Now, Drive Tomorrow and Shape Africa”.
“Werner’s experience in leadership roles positions him well for the additional responsibilities at HFT,” says Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group CEO Chris Riley. “His 20 years of experience in the hydraulics industry, the majority of them at a managerial level, makes Werner the ideal candidate for these positions. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in both hydraulics and strategic management to his role at HFT.”
Prior to these appointments, Werner was the Branch Manager at HAW Johannesburg for seven years, which was preceded by a five-year stint as Branch Manager in Cape Town. He also served on the Bosch Rexroth Drive & Control (DC) Junior ExCom in 2020, and is currently a member of the Bosch Rexroth South Africa Executive Committee.
